Quick Start Guide

DS-5 accelerates and de-risks your software development

by providing an easy to use, robust, integrated, validated

and maintained toolchain.

DS-5 covers all the development stages of ARM-based

products, from platform bring-up to application profiling,

while including a number of ARM Linux specific features.

This Quick Start Guide is intended to help you through

your first steps with DS-5, from installation to launching

and using each of its components.

The ARM Development Studio 5 (DS-5 ) is a

complete suite of software development tools for

ARM processor-based systems.

DS-5 includes:

nHighly optimizing C/C++ compiler.

nPowerful debug and performance analysis tools.

nIntuitive and flexible graphical user interface.

nWorldwide, professional technical support.

Bare metal, kernel and driver debug

DS-5 Debugger now supports platform bring-up, boot

code, and Linux kernel and driver development using a

JTAG connection to the target. DS-5 gives access to kernel

resources and dynamically loaded modules.

Streamline performance analyzer

Streamline is a graphical system-level profiling tool with

time-based analysis, which enables fast code optimization.

It now supports code balancing and thread analysis on

Cortex-A9 Linux SMP targets.
